i am sitting on my floor with my laptop on my lap, surrounded by a LOT of pieces of paper and several ridiculously post-modern novels, i'm not convinced i can feel my bum any more since i've been here for so long, and my essay is APPALLING (it lacks a point, structure, evidence or any stylistic flair. it is essentially much like the ridiculously post-modern novels i am surrounded by)

but. God remains.

and today i mostly enjoyed just chilling/being hysterical in grey house.

and being on the phone and patting a desk in fam office and saying "i am currently patting the desk that might be mine next year"

171/365

x-factor final with siany and sam. congratulations to him on putting up with us.

let me set the scene:

matthew and nicola drive home from CU to drop off PA stuff at dan's.
matthew and nicola exit the shiny car which is superior in every way to every other corsa ever.

matt: which house is it?
nicola: i think i'll know it when i see it. is it this one?
matt: yeah
lots of banging and doorbell pressing like you do when it's your friend's house
nicola: ooh let's sing carols!
matt: yeah...let's sing 'we wish you a merry christmas'
door opened by boy we don't know but presume is dan's housemate
matt and nicola: we WISH you a merry christmas, we WISH you a merry christmas, we WISH...
door opening boy: you jokers...yells down corridor have we got any money for these carol singers?
nicola: ........it's not the right house is it?
matt: no

cue extensive laughing

the moment of sheer terror when i pressed a button for 'the splendour of the king' to come up and the whole WORLD/church/laptop crashed around me. strangely liberating.

...and he shall be called wonderful, wonderful counsellor...

kerensa: it's a happy clappy church!

turkey and pigs and special stuffing and meringue and subsequent hyperactivity (perhaps my body is telling me to stop pretending to be a vegetarian)

love actually! i am not ashamed to admit a small tear when the small girl kisses the small boy on the cheek. ahhhh

laughing at the darwin awards
laughing hysterically at my toes gently colliding with sian's teeth
also laughing at something i can't put on here for fear on fueling my reputation among certain ex-members of cu as mildly politically incorrect...

164/365

holly are here!

156 - 158/365

the Bible. "i'm so glad God didn't reveal himself to us with Two Ways To Live". being excited about my dissertation (ignoring the fact that what i'm excited about is very irrelevant to it as a whole). how the kingdom of God is like a baby chicken. "we obviously haven't got enough pretty girls to get served quickly". "so, toucans. how do they work?" road tripping. not dying whilst road tripping. compulsory laughing through carols and ruining them for everyone around us. jo cooking, me eating. kitchen laughs. chats. sleeeeeeeeeeeeps. (dreaming about fish. except he has turned into four fish. perhaps it is to show that he is strong enough to fight the hall wardens..)
